About Chef  Terry Manpearl

Food is so important: our connection to the earth, the sustenance it provides, and the community built when we break bread together. I created Terry’s Table to make fresh, thoughtful food more accessible and to help people build a more joyful relationship with what they eat.

My love of cooking started early. I grew up in a family where feeding people was an event, and I learned from a young age that you could turn even a Costco run into everything from an impressive charcuterie spread to a full dinner party. I also learned firsthand how much work happens behind the scenes—and how easily enjoying your own gathering can become secondary to cooking and hosting it. I love cooking with what I'm able to grow in my garden, creating seasonal menus, and making highly personalized and whimsically themed food and drinks.

My culinary experience has taken me well beyond my own kitchen, I worked as a chef at a vegan summer camp on a farm, where I taught children who had little previous exposure to vegan food how exciting, creative, and delicious plant-based cooking could be. I’ve also made a habit of taking cooking lessons whenever I travel, bringing new techniques, flavors, and recipes home and incorporating them into the food I create for my clients.

My approach to food became more intentional after an intensive nutrition and fitness course, where I developed a deeper understanding of holistic nourishment and the relationship between our physical health and mental well-being, and ability to sustain healthy habits. That experience reinforced something I already believed: eating well shouldn’t feel like another obligation on an already overwhelming to-do list.

That philosophy is at the heart of Terry’s Table.

Whether I’m preparing freezer meals for a busy week, teaching someone how to finally feel comfortable in the kitchen, or helping someone discover a vegetable they thought they hated, my goal is the same: to make food feel exciting, accessible, and genuinely enjoyable.

I specialize in cooking that meets people where they are—honoring dietary restrictions, personal goals, preferences, schedules, and the realities of everyday life. Because there is no single right way to eat well, and there is certainly no reason it should be boring.

And when I travel, I’m always learning. I seek out cooking classes wherever I go, collecting techniques and flavors that I can bring back to my clients. In that way, every table I create is influenced not only by where I am, but by everywhere I’ve been.
